We may have more outdoor Sunday services in 2021! During the pandemic year, we gathered outdoors many times in order to enjoy safe, in-person Sunday services. We may gather outdoors again in summer 2021, so please stay tuned!
Many of our 2020 services took place along the Hudson River at beautiful Mayor's Park Pavilion in Cold Spring (pictured at left). Our safety protocols for outdoor services are available below. Please note: We also make outdoor services available online, via Zoom, so you always have the option to participate from home. For info about online worship, please click here. Protocols for attending our in-person, outdoor Sunday worship services.
For those who choose to attend worship in person, the following protocols and guidelines for in-person, outdoor worship will be followed: 1) Those three years old or older must wear a mask at all times. Masks will be available on site, along with hand sanitizer, gloves, and antiseptic wipes. 2) Social distancing must be practiced (6 feet or more) along with other practices which will be implemented in accordance with NY Forward safety guidelines. |
3) Chalk or tape marks will help everyone attending outdoor worship services to adhere to spacing requirements.
4) If you or any member of your family has any symptoms of illness, please refrain from attending the outdoor worship service, for the safety of the larger community.
5) Restrooms will not be available.
6) You are encouraged to bring your own chairs. Seating can be sanitized as needed.
7) Entrance, exits, parking procedure, mask requirements, and all other safety protocols will be clearly posted.
8) If you, or a member of your family, attends an in-person FPCP service and then tests positive with COVID-19 within 14 days of attending that service, you must notify Bev Taylor at BevTaylor127@yahoo.com OR Cathy Carnevale at carnevalevmd@aol.com. Local state and health departments will be alerted. For this purpose, a log will be kept of all those attending and required contact information made available if needed.
9) There will be no singing but there will be music. Options include: piano, stringed instruments, drums, and handbells.
10) There will be no physical passing of the peace, no passing of the collection plate, no shared Bibles or hymnals, and only single-use bulletins.
These protocols are in place for the safety and protection of each person who worships in person, and for the protection of the larger community of Cold Spring and our surrounding neighbors. Honoring these protocols demonstrates God’s call for us to love our neighbor.
You are invited to join us for worship from the location that offers maximum safety and protection from possible exposure to COVID-19. To that end, you may also be part of our outdoor community worship service by signing in to Zoom with the link provided in your email. Thank you!
