COVID-19 Message: During this health and economic crisis, our Philipstown Food Pantry mission has become more critical than ever. We are serving 200% more people than last year and the numbers continue to grow. Enrollment is open to all Philipstown residents experiencing hardship. Enrollment forms in English are available here. Los formularios de inscripción en español están aquí. Forms are also available each Saturday at the Pantry.
Our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated team of volunteers from our church and community who have worked so hard to keep the Pantry operating every Saturday from 9-10 am. We are also grateful to an amazing network of donors, businesses, nonprofits, elected officials, community groups, schools, and scout troops who increased their support to help us meet the growing need in our community. And finally, thanks to all of the people and organizations who found special ways to help during the pandemic -- the Mask Makers Guild who sewed masks for our volunteers, the Lions Club who helped us replace old refrigerator/freezers; the Putnam County SPCA for donating pet food to keep our client's pets healthy; and many, many others. Bless you all.

About the Philipstown Food Pantry
Every Saturday, our church becomes the front line in the local fight against hunger when the Philipstown Food Pantry opens from 9 to 10 am at 10 Academy Street in Cold Spring, NY. Each week, all year long, the Food Pantry provides our clients with a three-day supply of nutritious food, including seasonal fresh produce, meat, eggs, milk, bread, and other staples. Food insecurity is always serious issue. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, hunger is a growing problem as businesses remain closed and more residents are experiencing layoffs, illness, and other daunting challenges. On average, 50 local families are enrolled at the Food Pantry on any given week. During the pandemic, our numbers have jumped 200%. |

The Food Pantry is grateful for the generous, ongoing support we receive from local business and nonprofit partners including: Foodtown, Glynwood Center for Regional Food and Farming, Longhaul Farm, Second Chance Foods, Davoren Farm, Lions Club, Signal Fire Bread, and Hudson Hil's Cafe.
This mission started over 30 years ago with just a few bins and boxes of food stacked on our pastor's porch. Now the Philipstown Food Pantry is a community-wide effort, thanks to the contributions and enthusiasm the Food Pantry receives each year from local residents, dedicated volunteers, our business and nonprofit partners, community groups, scout troops, elected officials, and friends just like you. Thank you! |

4) Sponsor a food drive. Is your child or grandchild in a youth group such as Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, 4-H, a sports team, a confirmation class, or bar/bat mitzvah class? A Food Drive to benefit the Pantry is a great community service project! Email us here for information, and we will be glad to help you plan your food drive.
5) Volunteer. Due COVID-19, our volunteer needs have changed; email the Pantry coordinators here. Prior to the pandemic, volunteers helped set up the Pantry on Friday afternoons, and on Saturday mornings, they assisted clients clients during open hours and then helped us put away supplies and re-stock carts to prepare for the following week
6) Help us renovate. We are planning a much-needed renovation to our community kitchen in 2021. Improvements include sturdy, rolling shelves for storing Food Pantry supplies as well as improved work surfaces and appliances. Learn more here. Thank you!
