To support affordable childcare in our community, FPCP has instituted a scholarship fund to help underwrite tuition fees for children in need who are enrolled at the Community Nursery School & Learning Center, which operates in our building at 10 Academy Street in Cold Spring. Founded in 1968, the Community Nursery School & Learning Center offers a 5-day program for children from ages 2½ to 5 years old. The classes are Monday through Friday from 8:45 to 11:45 am. The school also offers after school enrichment programs.

The school's happy, relaxed atmosphere encourages self-esteem, nurtures creativity, and builds social skills that last a lifetime. Activities include dramatic play, crafts, sing-alongs, puzzles, story time, parties, weekly themed activities, visits, and a daily snack.​
