PresbyBuild: Building Houses, Building Hope
Our PresbyBuild partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh is on pause during COVID-19. We look forward to to resuming our projects when it's safe!
Come to our next PresbyBuild Work Day! You can help renovate a house for a family in need in the City of Newburgh, just across the Hudson River. Construction skills and tools aren't required. All you need is a good heart, willing hands, and plenty of positive energy! Youth ages 16+ are encouraged to join us for this rewarding community service opportunity. To volunteer, contact Lynn at lebnab@optonline.net or our church office at 1presbyterian@gmail.com. |

About PresbyBuild
PresbyBuild is a coalition of Presbyterian churches. We partner with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh to build houses and hope for families in Newburgh. Our mission is to provide decent, affordable houses to help restore a sense of community through home ownership, dignity, and strong neighborhoods.
PresbyBuild churches include 12 congregations in the Hudson River Presbytery: Philipstown/Cold Spring (FPCP), Chester, Cornwall, Goshen, Highland, Marlboro, Monroe, Montgomery, Newburgh Calvary, Newburgh Union, New Windsor Bethlehem, and Washingtonville First Presbyterian. These member congregations provide on-site volunteers at work days throughout the year. To support this ongoing mission, member congregations also provide fundraising and administrative assistance, mission grants, meeting spaces, and other volunteer services.
PresbyBuild has international impact as well! Through Habitat for Humanity's system of tithing, PresbyBuild has sponsored four additional houses in Ethiopia and Mexico to date.
